Hi! I’m MK. Welcome to Satori!
I’m a Filipina trader who turned $1,000 into $200,000 in just three months in 2020, backed by nearly two decades of trading experience across global markets since university days.
I graduated with a degree in Mathematical Economics with minor track in International Finance from one of the top 3 universities in the Philippines.
I began trading in the university, where I was taught by a former Wall Street professional and an investment banker from Austria – a rare foundation that shaped my multi-disciplinary, quant-driven approach to trading markets.
In college, I joined several trading competitions led by PSE and a leading newspaper in the Philippines. It was also during school days that I began reading trading books.
Since then, I’ve traded through major global cycles including the 2008 Global Financial Crisis, the 2013 taper tantrum, the 2020 pandemic crash, and the 2022 inflation-driven bear markets. My experience spans U.S. stocks, Philippine equities, forex, crypto, commodities, precious metals, bonds, and indices — making Satori one of the only Filipino-led trading academies with real global markets breadth.
I am a CMT member & CFA candidate, continuously sharpening my expertise in technical analysis, macroeconomics, and portfolio management.
I ranked Top 4 in the Investa Trading Cup, one of the Philippines’ most competitive national trading tournaments.
Today, I own and manage my own independent trading funds — no prop firm, no external capital pools — trading with rule-based, price-action-driven, risk-first systems that I’ve refined for almost 20 years since trading sparked my interest in school days.
Beyond markets, I’ve traveled to 25 countries and built a diversified portfolio of 40+ properties on top of other personal investments, showing how disciplined trading and strategic investing can create longterm wealth and financial freedom. I used to have nothing in life, but with support of my parents and anonymous benefactors who funded my scholarships, I was able to carry with me a good education that helped propel my trading career. Now in my 30’s, I think that I have found my one thing: Trading.
I am the founder of Satori Trading Academy with over 400+ students worldwide, Satori Trading and Research Strategy and a Facebook page with 18,000+ followers for traders how to think, trade, and grow independently — without hype or shortcuts.
At Satori, I value REAL trading. I do not intend to make Satori as a marketing platform for upselling activities: No copytrading. No managing other people’s funds. No prop firm (I’m not against prop firms btw). No private messages asking you money. No affiliate tricks. No promotions of unregistered brokers. No paid or sponsored events. No trading bots and algos for sale. Satori is not an investment platform and I do not accept funds to manage.
Few gentle reminders: Pls be careful as there are some impersonators out there faking accounts and claiming to be me. I will never ever send you a DM asking for money. My primary role is to trade. Teaching is secondary – or just a natural offshoot of what I do.
Purely real trading education (free or paid) from someone who actually trades and builds wealth in real life.
I don’t claim to be the best trader out there. But I do see myself trading for a lifetime. I think whether you pursue employment, business, freelancing or trading – it is important for you to reflect on what you really wanna do in life and how you can achieve peace, privacy, wealth and happiness in that spectrum of life choices.

About Satori
From the Japanese word “satoru,” Satori is an immersive experience of understanding. It refers to sudden enlightenment or awakening. It also means comprehension or “to know.”
Our trading courses offer a different take on trading: We provide regular market insights while we lay down the foundations of fundamentals, technicals, quantitative analysis, risk management, proper trading psychology and macro overlays.
